Safety and Security Experience

  1. Founded the Ingram ISD Police Department, one of the first of its kind in the region.

  2. Among the first certified School Marshals in Texas, setting a precedent for campus safety leadership. One of the only fully certified School Marshal Superintendents in Texas.

  3. Regularly speak statewide on the importance of safety and security in schools and communities.

  4. Oversaw extensive security upgrades at Ingram ISD, including fencing, panic buttons, alarm systems, emergency response protocols, reunification procedures, and more.

  5. Maintain close working relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to strengthen community safety.

  6. Trained regularly with members of Kerr County SWAT to stay prepared for emergency situations.

  7. Believe that the first duty of any public servant is the protection of citizens, and that prevention, preparedness, and partnership are the cornerstones of true security.

  8. There is NOTHING more important than the safety and well-being of our citizens. Our families’ safety transcends all other issues, political divides, and ideologies.

  9. We must ensure that our Law Enforcement professionals and Volunteer Fire Departments are adequately funded and have the tools and resources they need to protect us when called upon.

  10. Have been a longtime advocate for a dedicated EMS station in West Kerr County and have conducted substantial research into its viability to ensure faster response times and improved emergency coverage for our residents.
